Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an Automation Engineer to join our DMO (Manufacturing Automation) team at the new high-tech Dunboyne Biologics site.
What you will do:
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:
- Developing and implementing optimal methodologies for the management of Automation Systems, in compliance with company policies, quality regulations and industry norms. This position will be primarily responsible for OEM Systems - Manufacturing and Utilties
- Managing vendor performance and support for OEM Systems and BAS
- Supporting investigations by finding resolutions to automation problems
- Supporting, maintaining and developing automated solutions for the DunBoyne Site
- Collaborating with other technical functions in order to provide robust automated systems that deliver reliable and sustainable performance
- Preparing and performing Automation Change Controls and ensure they are raised and closed on time in compliance with required quality standards
- Provide expertise and technical knowledge to technical functions on automation systems
- Perform automation maintenance and ensure automation systems remain in a validated state
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support roll out of such initiatives
- Develop and update automation SOP’s, automation training packages and conduct automation training
- Ensuring all system lifecycle documents must comply with SDLC requirements
- Any other duties as assigned by the Automation Lead / Manager
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
- A Level 8 degree in a technical field (engineering or science) or equivalent
- Prior experience with OEM Systems / PLC (Siemens preferably), specifically around roll out, updates and Maintenance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and know when to escalate for resolution
- Proven ability working cross functionally, delivering technical solutions to automation issues
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
