Cost Engineer - Biologics - 3-Year Contract This Global Biologics Client are currently building their capital projects team and require a Cost Engineer with previous Greenfield or Brownfield Facility Build Experience to support their new venture. We are interested in speaking with Senior Consultants looking for a long term assignment.
The Cost Engineer will support all commercial activities on the project, supporting and giving guidance / direction to the project partners. Directly managing commercial activities with other parties. The role is to ensure that good commercial governance is applied to all aspects on the project.
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the role is responsible to:
- To review changes from design team and their impact on install quantities, including vendor changes and any field impacts these may have.
- To have commercial overview on the CM controlled sub-contractor packages including review of re-measures.
- Early identification of potential issues / claims from 3rd Parties, and involvement in mitigation of the same.
- Collating project data to meet client requirements.
- Generation of works contractors cost reports for Project Managers.
- Ability to review budgets and quotations to ensure value for money.
- Attending weekly contractor meetings across various projects.
- Developing working relationships with line managers and individuals within each functional group utilising open communication skills.
To be successful in this role you will require:
- B.Sc. /B.Eng. degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Studies, Engineering discipline. Or sufficient relative experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience of large-scale multi-discipline projects of complex technical nature.
- Pharma / Bio experience supporting capital projects
