Just is seeking a motivated and creative Scientist who desires a significant opportunity to improve worldwide access to biotherapeutics. In this position, you will work with a multidisciplinary team for the analytical and functional biocharacterization of large molecule therapeutics. Experience developing potency bioassays based on therapeutic mechanism of action is required. Additional experience authoring SOPs and development reports, and working in a CMC or GMP environment, is beneficial. The successful candidate has strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work independently and in teams as needed, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, is necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Independently design, develop, and qualify potency bioassays for numerous targets and MoAs
- Routine sample testing to support early and late-phase product characterization and process development
- Data analysis, interpretation, and documentation in ELNs
- Present experimental plans and data to internal teams and clients
- Author SOPs and development reports
- Work collaboratively with members of the FBI team and cross-functional teams on multiple projects
- Train/mentor junior staff in cell-based assays, lab techniques, and therapeutic biology
- Support technology development to improve throughput and efficiency
Education Requirements:
- PhD with 0+ years of experience, MS with 3+ years of experience, or BS and 5+ years of experience and a degree in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Immunology, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- A self-starter and strong communicator who is organized and prioritizes data integrity
- Broad knowledge of cell-based assays and MoAs
- Excellent aseptic technique and experience work in a BSL II environment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with meticulous and accurate pipetting technique (single/multi-channel and liquid handlers)
- Familiarity with SMP and JMP data analysis software
- Familiarity with Envision, spectral cytometry, cell imaging, and other cell analysis technologies
- Experience with alternatives potency assay formats such as ELISA, SPR, and BLI
The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $80,000 to $100,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on the individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.
