Senior Engineer - Engineering Projects

The Senior Engineer, Engineering Projects manages projects related to routine shutdowns site wide, collaborating with internal and external partners ensuring projects are on schedule and within budget. This role will be heavily focused on managing shutdown projects related to equipment, utilities, facilities, calibration, PM and ensuring the appropriate tasks and documentation meet site compliance.
This is a fulltime role working days; Monday – Friday

The Role
- Manages projects related to routine shutdowns to ensure equipment, facilities, and utilities used in the manufacturing processes are compliant to the most recent standards. This includes, but not limited to, machinery, utilities, facilities, automation, and HEPA systems
- Develops, manages, and implements change controls related to shutdown activities. Creates work orders as necessary for specific shutdown related systems/block holds
- Partners proactively with internal and external partners and aligns with key internal customers to develop and execute effective, accurate and timely shutdown related projects that support business objectives
- Engages with other group/function managers and strategic partners to support business objectives, streamline business processes impacting project planning/execution, and implement business process changes
- Communicates cross-functionally (as well as to leadership) prior, during and after shutdowns to assure clear/concise decisions and direction are provided. Escalates issues/situations that may affect the project/shutdown timelines
- Dedicates significant time during the actual shutdown periods to assure all functions and contractors are working accurately against the schedule. Adjusts the schedule as needed to keep the workflow intact efficiently and effectively
- Assures all required safety requirements are met during the shutdowns
- Schedules, hosts and leads team meetings prior, during and after (to assure closure)

The Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or appropriate scientific discipline, required
- Master’s degree, preferred
- PE / Registered Engineer in training, preferred
- OSHA/IOSH/NeBOSH Certification or equivalent, preferred
- 5+ years Project Engineering relevant experience and 2+ years in a regulated industry (Life Sciences, preferred)
- Must be able to read and understand English-written job instructions and safety requirements
