Summary / purpose of the position
The Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) & Population Health is a critical member of an expanding team. Along with a growing pipeline, we are enhancing our capabilities. The Director of HEOR & Population Health will be responsible for educating customers on the clinical and economic impact of Ipsen products and for identifying healthcare gaps in collaboration with internal Ipsen business partners to aid US customer decision-making and improve population health.
The Director of HEOR & Population Health will partner closely with Field HEOR and other internal Ipsen business partners, such as Value & Access, to develop customer engagement plans. The Director of HEOR & Population Health will partner closely with Field HEOR to engage key external stakeholders in the US, such as Quality Improvement Directors, Advocacy Groups, and other relevant population-based decision makers, to understand their population health priorities and share customer insights with appropriate internal Ipsen business partners.
The Director of HEOR & Population Health will partner with Directors of HEOR & Real-World Evidence and other internal Ipsen stakeholders to develop plans for population health activities and ensure that the activities are aligned strategically. The Director of HEOR & Population Health will execute population health activities and ensure effective communication of information to external audiences as appropriate.
Main responsibilities / job expectations
- Maintain required level of knowledge of relevant TA/disease states and Ipsen products, providing therapeutic area/product information to both internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Drive effective cross-functional collaboration to identify appropriate external stakeholders and lead the development of plans for US Population Health activities in alignment to medical and commercial strategy.
- Lead the development and conduct of Population Health projects to improve population health.
- Lead the development of Field HEOR customer engagement plans.
- Lead the development and internal approval of field team materials to communicate information generated from Population Health projects to external customers.
- Provide input into other Field HEOR communication resources (e.g. pre-approval information exchange decks) as needed.
- Lead the training of Field HEOR Team on Population Health resources and support the training of other communication resources (e.g. pre-approval information exchange decks) as needed.
- Support meetings with external customers through participation in meetings, field rides, or presenting approved resources to customers as needed.
- Participate in or lead the design, conduct, and publish methodologically rigorous US HEOR or Real-World Evidence studies and projects, in collaboration with internal and external researchers, to understand the real-world clinical, humanistic, and economic impact of Ipsen products as needed.
- Provide input into Integrated Evidence Generation Plans to ensure projects are represented as appropriate.
- Track budgets and timelines and ensure appropriate processes are followed for internal approval and execution of studies and projects as appropriate.
- Comply with all regulatory laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Ipsen.
- Stay informed on the latest methodological advances and approaches to understanding gaps in care.
Knowledge, abilities & experience
Education
Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MS, MPH) in Health Services Research, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Pharmacy, or a related field is required.

This is a field-based role.
The annual base salary range for this position is $177,000 - $259,600.
This job is eligible to participate in our incentive compensation program as well as our long-term incentives program.

The pay range displayed above is the range of base pay compensation within which Ipsen expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and demonstrated skills.
