Construction Safety Engineer
Team Horizon is seeking a Construction Safety Engineer for our client in the pharmaceutical industry in Dublin.
As a Construction Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the safety policies and procedures on their construction sites. As well as conducting regular inspections, audits and risk assessments and provide training and guidance to the site staff and contractors.
The successful candidate will report to the project manager and liaise with the relevant authorities and stakeholders.

What you will be doing:
- Review and approve RAMS documentation
- Walk construction work with the contractor in advance of execution to safe practices are followed
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and identify and eliminate any hazards or violations.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, such as reports, records, permits, and certificates.
- Provide safety training and orientation to the site staff and contractors, and ensure that they follow the safety rules and procedures.
- Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate and cooperate with the project manager, the site supervisor, the client, and the relevant authorities and stakeholders on safety matters.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments and best practices in the field of construction safety.
- Implement safety plans and programs for each construction project, in accordance with our policies and the applicable regulations and standards.
What you need to apply:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience as a construction safety engineer or a similar role, ideally at a biopharmaceutical facility (or similar).
- Knowledge of the construction industry and the relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
