Role & Responsibilities
The Principal Global Laboratory Support Engineer is a member of the Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) and Global Desktop Engineering team, specializing in lab computerized instrument systems. This role is responsible for supporting IT-connected analytical lab equipment located in Quality Control (QC), Product Development (PD), VGT, as well as in manufacturing areas and warehouses.
- Provide general IT support and platform services according to agreed service model
- Resolves and/or coordinates the resolution of hardware technical issues
- Optimise system configurations to maximise performance and ensure availability
- Perform periodic maintenance and systems review, including security roles, performance, and data integrity
Qualifications and Experience
- BS Degree in Information Technology, Chemistry, Engineering or similar acquired qualification
- cGMP/Highly Regulated Environment
- System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Change Control and Validation
- Technical Validation and Documentation Skills
- ITIL Processes
The ideal candidate is capable of working within a cross-functional team in a complex environment. The Engineer must have a service-oriented mindset and be able to handle customer requests while prioritizing them based on criticality.
Candidates should possess excellent knowledge of computer hardware, including PCs and network printers, allowing for prompt resolution of hardware-related issues. They must demonstrate analytical and methodical approaches to IT incidents and requests, showcasing proven problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential for working effectively within diverse teams and fostering a cooperative work environment. The Principal Global Laboratory Support Engineer should exhibit a self-motivated and resourceful attitude, with the capability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to service.
