Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure that maintenance work complies with statutory and local Engineering standards and requirements, using own knowledge and the support of other engineers.
- Ensure their team are working within Safety, Quality and Engineering Best practice.
- Lead toolbox talks on quality or safety issues to their team.
- Line management of a small team of electrical, instrument or mechanical technicians.
- To include oversight of training requirements, work priorities and development.
- Member of the daily maintenance triage meeting and serve as key contact point for assets and site services for breakdowns/injected work.
- Perform fault diagnosis, maintenance and servicing work safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturers' instructions. Read and extract information fromengineering drawings, specification diagrams and maintenance manuals.
- Lead permit to work requests for their team. Role holder should be multi trade permit acceptor. Conduct safe and effective hand over of plant and equipment to others and accept and confirm responsibility for the control of plant and equipment within the work area isolation boundary.
- Use site cGMP systems and the SAP system to ensure all maintenance documentation is completed and archived in accordance with site procedures.
- Ensure that calibration, test certs, seal changes, condition monitoring, and other associated documents are managed and handed to Tech Eng/ Manager for review (and those from their team).
