Reporting to the Asset Reliability Engineer, this position will be responsible for working closely with the Safety, Quality, Maintenance and Production teams in the day-to-day administration for planning, scheduling, capital improvement, and continuous improvement processes to support process/production maintenance capability within the plant.
Day Shift: Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 3 PM
Scope of the Role
• Responsible for processing and scheduling all process and production oriented work including resolving work order issues and working with vendors to schedule and complete work orders for the upkeep of production assets.
• Schedule and plan upcoming process maintenance activities (compliance, planned, predictive, and preventative) including the staging of parts and special tools required for the completion of production equipment and maintenance jobs on the schedule.
• Manage contractors in the performance of their work on process equipment and maintenance tasks.
• Construct and manage the bidding process in accordance with company Procurement policies and Procurement rules.
• Ensure contractors are qualified per company policy and comply with safety and GMP policies and practices.
• Proactively manage the life cycle of facility components and infrastructure through capital planning and budgeting.
• Understand the needs of the Perrigo Covington site business and align production asset performance accordingly to meet these needs.
• Create, modify, deactivate, and consolidate Preventative Maintenance Plans in SAP for process equipment and assets.
• Coordinate process equipment and maintenance tasks with process weekly maintenance scheduling and backlog meetings in accordance with established agendas.
• Provide timely reports related to Asset Reliability Manager when required to support audits and investigations.
• Establish, schedule, and coordinate preventative maintenance plans in conjunction with the Asset Reliability Manager, Engineering, Quality, Safety, Team Advisors and Production.
• Responsible for producing, tracking, and issuing key metrics to indicate the efficiency and effectiveness of the process and production asset management system.
• Provide direction and training to technicians and others in the plant as needed on process equipment and maintenance activities.
• Lead efforts on special projects to facilitate continuous improvement of facility energy usage and conservation in the plant.
• Work with Engineering and Operations to support stocking of spare parts and inventory management on new equipment and getting PM’s set up as necessary for processing and production maintenance assets.
• Assist with creation of equipment BOMs and assemblies for new equipment where needed.
• Provide backup administrative support to maintenance and other areas as needed, including preparation of correspondence and presentations; respond to and route inquires received via telephone, email, mail, and other as appropriate.
Experience Required
• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Journeyman enrollment/completion status recommended or equivalent experience acceptable.
• Demonstrated cooperative work conduct and the ability to work independently.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Strong computer skills preferred and proficient in SAP PM/MM modules and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and good math skills required.
• Demonstrated commitment to meeting schedules and deadlines through good attendance and willingness to work overtime, including weekends when needed, are also necessary.
