In addition to managing large-scale one-off projects, at PM Group we also provide a Managed Service for capital projects to a growing number of clients. Our site-based Managed Service teams across Ireland provide a cost efficient and effective framework for project delivery to our clients. We take projects ranging in capital value from €100k to €15M from concept through all stages of the project life-cycle to handover. Whether a simple pump replacement or a complex building extension, we manage all aspects of the project from idea to implementation. We safely deliver diverse portfolios of projects including buildings, cleanrooms, utilities, process installations, regulatory upgrades and equipment replacements.
We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer, either from a Mechanical or Construction engineering background, to support the management and execution of projects through the full project life cycle from initiation to closeout. The projects will include a diverse mix of capex projects for water and wastewater, facilities, utilities and infrastructure.
We are looking for a talented, results-driven Mechanical/Civil Project Engineer with excellent project coordination and communication skills.
Responsibilities - Support the management and execution of projects throughout project life cycle from initiation to closeout
- Report to the Projects Programme Manager and responsible for supporting a diverse portfolio of strategic projects with the capability to project manage small projects autonomously as the business requires
- Management of the project stage gates from agreement of URS's, through design, procurement, implementation, commissioning, and handover into production, while maintaining budgets and schedules agreed
- Project execution will focus on safety, schedule, and budget adherence while complying with good engineering practices, company policies, regulations, and codes
- Manage cross functional teams, delivering complex Manufacturing Facilites and Processing projects, in a highly automated GMP Production environment
- Manage the overall financial performance of engineering projects, including cash flow, life cycle costs, business opportunities and risks
- Contractor/vendor management, project schedule management and schedule development
- Risk management and action plans to mitigate risk
- Strict adherence to safe working practices as set out in the safety statement and other company safety rules
- Control and monitor the safe working practices of contractors while onsite
- Understanding of Environmental Health & Safety Requirements onsite
Qualifications - Level 8 degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or equivalent
- Project Engineer/Manager experience in managing cross functional teams, delivering a broad range of complex projects, in a highly automated GMP production environment
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage and execute projects from initiation to completion
- Full project lifecycle experience from end to end design through to C&Q and handover
- Understands project management process; programming, scope development, design development, implementation and project closeout
- Excellent communication / organisation skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation from project teams to site leadership team
- Execution/adherence – demonstrated record of on time delivery
- Demonstrable record of delivering right first time handover of documentation.
