Job Description: 

Purpose of Job

An experienced candidate (M.Sc./M.Tech in Biotechnology/biochemistry or other biological sciences with 5 to 6 years of relevant industry experience or Ph.D fresher or with ~1 year of experience) for Cell and Gene Therapy Department, Cell Therapy Analytical Group at Intas Pharmaceuticals (Biopharma Division), Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

Skill Required

  • Candidate must have thorough understanding of cell and molecular biology along with several analytical techniques such as, PCR/qPCR, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, etc.
  • Hands on experience in qPCR is indispensable for this position.
  • Candidate should have good hands-on experience with aseptic handling, microbial and mammalian cell culture techniques.
  • Candidate should have understanding of good documentation practices, preparation of SOPs, analytical reports, etc.
  • Understanding of regulatory guidelines with respect to analytical assay development and qualification will be an added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilites

  • Develop analytical methods (qPCR, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Cell based assay (e.g. In vitro cytotoxicity assay),) for Cell and Gene Therapy based products.
  • Qualify analytical methods as per the regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide support for analysis of in-process, DS and DP samples.
  • Documentation in LNB, preparation of SOPs, Analytical Reports, etc.
  • Participate in method transfers to QC labs.
  • AMC and CMC of instruments/equipment in analytical development lab, inventory management, etc.

Qualification Required

M.Sc./M.Tech in Biotechnology/biochemistry or other biological sciences with 5 to 6 years of relevant industry experience or Ph.D fresher or with ~1 year of experience
