Job Description
The Facility Maintenance Lead performs a variety of maintenance duties in support of laboratory and facility operations. Assists in other departments as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs standard preventative maintenance procedures
- Monitors and maintains building facilities (HVAC, refrigeration, and ventilation equipment)
- Troubleshoots and repairs various laboratory equipment
- Provides materials list to supervisor to maintain a stock of repair parts in-house and maintenance supplies
- Stocks all copy machines with paper on a weekly basis
- Completes weekly walk-thru of building for fluorescent bulb replacement
- Oversees receiving and storing of laboratory supplies
- Performs miscellaneous errands, purchasing parts for the lab, janitorial supplies
- Serves as emergency call backup if Facilities Manager is not onsite
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management team
Qualifications
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma required.
Basic maintenance experience in:
- HVAC
- Plumbing
- Refrigeration
- Electrical
Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical maintenance.
- Working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repair.
- Communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information
Position is located at our Tinley Park, IL location.
Work Schedule for Position: Monday - Friday 7 AM- 4:00 PM, with OT as required.
Position Pay Range: $25- 28/ hour based on experience
