Line Maintenance Supervisor

The Research Triangle Park (RTP) facility is home to Catalent's Inhalation franchise including product development, clinical and commercial manufacturing for pMDI, DPI and Nasal Sprays.
Catalent Pharma Solutions is Morrisville, NC is hiring a Supervisor, Line Maintenance who is responsible for training and overseeing maintenance personnel in the performance of all critical manufacturing process equipment available at the Catalent Morrisville site. This position manages all manufacturing maintenance, delegates activities, and provides technical support for the process, production, and engineering department. This role supports the equipment improvement agenda as well as root cause analysis around batch-orientated deviations for the facility, assist Process Engineers and Maintenance by collecting data and delivering value added solutions, also review and prioritize work order request from production and other departments. SOP and job aid generation for training staff to improve OEE and support all manufacturing requirements. They may also be responsible for leading small-scale process improvement projects and are responsible for taking a lead role in maintaining a safe work environment and reporting any potentially hazardous conditions to management.
This is a full-time salaried role. The core hours are Monday – Friday 7:00AM -4:00PM with flexibility to work outside normal working hours and be on call as needed.

The Role:
- Oversee the maintenance staff activities required for quality and efficient manufacturing production batches and protocol;
- Assist in the development and revision of standard operating procedures to provide information in order to complete tasks in a standardized and consistent manner;
- Responsible for efficient operation, corrective and preventive maintenance of vial/fill/finish, Dry Powder Inhaler, and relative support processes;
- Interact with vendors and suppliers as needed;
- Assist and/or lead validation protocol executions;
- Order equipment and/or parts from appropriate suppliers as needed;
- Lead the revision and implementation of LOTO program across site, with EHS and support all EHS programs;
- Troubleshoot and repair any potential problem, electrical or mechanical, that interferes with the efficient operation of equipment;
- Operate as back up to Manufacturing Technician when needed;
- All other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
- High School or GED required with seven (7) or more years of mechanical experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing/processing. Associate’s degree or Bachelors degree preferred
- Associate’s degree with five (5) or more years of maintenance experience in filling and processing required; OR Bachelors with four (4) years or more years of mechanical experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing/processing required;
- Manage staff and support operations;
- Support and produce quality documentation to support manufacturing;
- Effective oral and written communication skills;
- Read, understand, and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings;
- PLC knowledge and AutoCAD preferred;
- Must be able to read and interpret basic schematics and equipment drawings;
- Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience
- Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-40 pounds;
