Engineering Associate Director
What you will do

In this vital role you will function in a project leadership role or as a lead scientific/technological resource (Subject Matter Expert in Bioprocess Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Support, and Technology Transfer). Supports new facility design, build, and commissioning.
Decisions regularly impact entire project team and may impact the ability to achieve some functional/departmental objectives. Work influences and impacts the direction of one or more project(s) & program(s).
Provides guidance in the resolution of issues related to one or more program(s) or project(s) and may escalate issues for leadership support as appropriate.
Works independently without appreciable direction and integrates activities with other projects. Builds strategies to pursue synergies between manufacturing robustness, productivity, and rapid advancement of new technologies. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives or assignments within the function/department.
Completed work is evaluated by achieved results from a relatively long-term perspective. Consistently makes independent decisions within the function/department.
Proactively solves complex problems within a broad discipline, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Frequently introduces or creates new concepts or develops novel processes/approaches within a broad discipline.
Recognizes factors and trends outside immediate area that impact specific project or function/department; beings to identify opportunities to improve overall processes & procedures.
Mentors, coaches, and provides career and scientific/technical advice to colleagues within the function/department.
Creates connected, inclusive, and inspiring work environment.
Communicates and/or presents scientific/technical information formally and informally (“impromptu”) within area of expertise across functions/departments and to the external professional and scientific community.
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED and 14 years of Engineering or Associate Engineer experience OR
Associate’s degree and 12 years of Engineering or Associate Engineer experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of Engineering or Associate Engineer experience OR
Master’s degree and 5 years of Engineering or Associate Engineer experience OR
Doctorate degree and 3 years of Engineering or Associate Engineer experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Broad knowledge of leading bioprocess engineering, process engineering, manufacturing support, and technology transfer strategies, state of the art principles and theories, and basic knowledge of related and adjacent disciplinary areas.
Understands broader organizational goals and business priorities in relation to therapeutic program/work group.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
