Role Description
Job Title: Lab Tech I
Schedule: Monday - Friday 530PM - 200AM
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Process and perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal or histology samples using high-throughput automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.
- You will be responsible for setting up and running lab tests, reading, and releasing results according to ZRL SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- You will be responsible for analyzer maintenance including but not limited to daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance.
- You will be responsible for accessioning samples and specimen tracking storage including packaging and unpackaging of samples for shipments to other laboratories.
- You will follow our QC standards and EHS practices consistent with laboratory standards.
- You will be responsible for troubleshooting sample integrity issues and responding to customer concerns through Salesforce ticketing with our customer service dept.
- Maintain and clean and organized workspace.
- Properly handle and dispose of medical and biohazardous waste while adhering to all applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Consistently and properly fill out laboratory logs, including but not limited to maintenance logs, environmental logs, and cleaning logs.
- Manage email correspondence professionally and promptly.
- Be a team player and have a positive attitude.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent required. BS/BA is preferred.
Experience Requirement: 1+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
