About you
You are educated to degree level in an engineering discipline, with a minimum five years’ project management experience ideally in a Pharmaceutical or regulated environment. You are well-versed in the operation of GxP building environments with a track record in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, structural & architectural installations. Having previous facilities or construction project management experience of introducing or replacement of plant & building refurbishment’s is a must.
You have had good exposure to integrated validation approaches and familiarity with current construction and safety at work regulations. It’s expected you will carry out your day-to-day duties on your own initiative whilst working across departments to ensuring the business production needs are provided for.
Familiarity with executing GxP documentation, ensuring all documentation is in place & carried out in a timely manner is a must.
You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and you are able to engage positively with cross functional team and stakeholders. You excel in planning, scheduling and can prioritise to manage competing demands. You have the ability to self-reflect and self-manage, you enjoy gaining knowledge, continuous improvement and solving problems.
About the Job
You will work with the team to manage the building services and structure (CSA) alongside, when required the management of design consultants, vendors & contractors on new & refurbishment projects.
In the role you will:
- Report to the Facilities site lead & work closely with our Maintenance, Process & EHS leads, their team of engineers, maintenance staff to ensure our buildings are operating correctly & efficiently.
- Ensure that our facilities are safe, compliance with the building & safety regulations being paramount.
- Oversee the design & site management of refurbishment & new installations, ensuring they are functional, efficient, and safe.
- Work with other departments to identify and prioritize facility-related projects and allocate resources accordingly.
- Manage and supervise contractors and vendors working on all building services, these will include both GxP & non GxP systems.
- Execute & oversee the qualification of new service installations plant & the annual requalification of existing plant, production areas, warehouses. this is a large element of the daily works.
- Strong project management skills / project reporting (i.e. managing construction quality, schedule development etc.)
- Work with Maintenance lead to implement & improve preventive maintenance programs for all facilities and equipment.
- Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability and table proposal(s) to senior management for review / implementation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other departments as needed.
