This position reports to
Production Manager
Your role and responsibilities
Assemble and build medium and high voltage electrical vacuum switches utilizing standardized tools and equipment
Interpret production drawings and work instructions, which include wire schematics, outlines, BOMs and wire diagrams
Utilize internal systems to access drawings and files
Relay any discrepancies/non-conformance related issues to the responsible individual
Complete all documentation and follow specific work instructions as required
Must be able to work in a team environment while interfacing with team members that include product/manufacturing engineering and other internal/external customers
Assist in training other team members as needed
Maintain and sustain 5S processes and safety practices, including the use of PPE as required
All other duties, as assigned
Qualifications for the role
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 0-1 years of Manufacturing Experience
- Mechanical and/or Electrical knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
- Basic computer skills
- Must possess an energetic and positive attitude as well as be flexible regarding cross training on multiple stations and overtime hours
- Must be willing to learn new processes and procedures
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
- Ability to stand and or walk or 8 hours
- Ability to reach, lift, and pull
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
