Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Summer Intern to join our Inspection and Packaging Team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of Inspection and Packaging operations within a dynamic and supportive environment. The intern will be in charge of measure, recommend and implement lean tools to improve the changeover process from lot to lot for packaging lines. Being able to demonstrate a safety and quality behavior that support employee growth and organizational development. Program dates: Monday, June 2 – Friday, August 8, 2025.
Key Responsibilities
Measure the changeover process in the required packaging line.
Collaborate with team members of Quality, Engineering, Automation, Supply Chain for a streamline and holistical approach.
Collaborate closely with shift team supervisors and operators for adherence and performance monitoring.
Ensure adherence to approved procedures.
Evaluate the data and provide recommendations to improve/decrease the setup from one lot to another.
The position does not have directs reports. However, area management will provide coaching and mentorship whenever required.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Applicants must attend an accredited university in Puerto Rico or reside in Puerto Rico.
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Science, Engineering or a related field.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with digital tools used in lean operational excellence.
