Key Responsibilities:
- Histology Techniques: Perform routine and advanced histological procedures, including tissue collection, embedding, sectioning, staining, and slide preparation.
- Assay Development: Design and validate assays such as decalcification methods, immunohistochemistry (IHC), in situ hybridization (ISH), and other molecular assays.
- Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis during all phases of assay development under the guidance of Senior Scientists and Pathologists.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to integrate histology and assay data into toxicological studies and drug development programs.
- Communication: Provide progress updates on assay development, address challenges, and deliver high-quality results within set timelines.
- Innovation: Contribute to Histology & Digital Pathology advancements, including AI-driven image analysis tools.
- Quality Control: Ensure all histological procedures meet quality standards and regulatory guidelines, maintaining accurate experimental records.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare project-related documentation, including development and validation plans, and conduct literature reviews.
- Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and laboratory regulations.
- Additional Expertise: Leverage knowledge in neuroscience, microscopy, transcriptomic analysis, histology, and image analysis, utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence.
Who Are You?
- Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Biological Sciences.
- Experience: A minimum of one year in histology, assay development, or related laboratory environments is advantageous.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in histological techniques, including IHC, ISH, tissue sectioning, and staining.
- Familiarity with assay development and optimization for drug discovery and safety testing.
- Proficiency in digital pathology, advanced microscopy techniques, and image analysis software.
- Solid understanding of toxicology, pathology, and drug safety testing.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Experience in machine learning, image analysis, or advanced preclinical histopathology techniques (e.g., IHC, ISH, MPX) is a plus.
- Team-oriented with flexibility, proactivity, and a positive attitude.
