Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a a highly skilled and detail-oriented Shipping Validation Engineer to join our team. As a Shipping Validation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and compliant shipping of pharmaceutical products. Your expertise in validation processes and regulations will be essential in maintaining the integrity of the supply chain.
Role accountabilities:
- Conduct shipping validation activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Develop and execute shipping validation protocols, including testing and documentation, to verify the effectiveness and reliability of shipping processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure alignment and adherence to shipping validation requirements.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and analyze shipping data to identify trends, address issues, and propose improvements to optimize shipping processes.
- Review and evaluate shipping documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct audits of shipping processes, including packaging materials, labeling, temperature control, and security measures, to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, guidelines, and industry trends related to shipping validation in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Provide training and guidance to staff involved in shipping processes to promote understanding and compliance with validation requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in shipping validation or a related field within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of shipping validation principles, regulations (such as FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines), and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for pharmaceutical products.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to assess and interpret shipping data effectively.
- Proficiency in using validation software, data management tools, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
- Proven ability to identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and implement process improvements.
- Certification in shipping validation or related areas (such as Certified Pharmaceutical GMP Professional) is a plus.
- Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
