Our “Specials” manufacturing division make a range of licensed and unlicensed medicinal products - from creams and ointments to suspensions and solutions. We're looking to add a QC Analyst to this busy and fast-paced team.
As a QC Analyst your responsibilities will include, although not limited to:
- To follow, promote and enforce relevant SOPs, Work Instructions, and Company policies and procedures
- Perform a full range of analytical testing: IPC, raw materials, finished product, stability process validation and cleaning validation
- Support senior QC staff in all areas of Method Development, method transfers, method validation and Reference Standard Qualification
- Assist in Stability trending and reporting for shelf life justification and extension
- Ensuring laboratory OOS/atypical result investigations are performed within the time frame according to the SOP and to ensuring all CAPAs are assigned and completed within the agreed timeframes
- Planning and scheduling of testing, ensuring all metrics and customer requirements are met
- Support the continuous review, improvement and implementation of SOPs, Methods and Specifications
- Complete all tasks safely and report incidents/near misses to line manager
- Change focus depending on priority of product and need of patient
- Ensure work areas are clean, tidy and 5S systems are effective
- Deputise for line manager as and when required
- Actively maintain and develop company Quality and Business Systems in conjunction with other Target departments
- To proactively support the businesses operation by helping in other departments which may be busier than your own at a particular time
To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of operating in a similar role is essential
- Demonstrable experience of working autonomously and making decisions
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) is highly desirable although not essential depending on experience
- Strong, up to date knowledge of Analytical Chemistry within the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong, up to date knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
- Confident dealing with managers and employees at all levels
- Occasional travel may be required, to other Target Healthcare sites and/or external suppliers.
- Experience working in pharmaceutical/healthcare/life sciences industry advantageous
- English and Mathematics GCSE grades A-C (or equivalent)
- Highly computer literate; experience operating with all Microsoft Office software
