The on-site engineer is responsible to ensure the safe and reliable performance of the on-site units. You will support the on-site manager in his planning and execution of all planned shutdown maintenance activities. When there are any interruptions of supply, you are responsible to respond swiftly to the event in order to minimize the downtime of the interruption. You are also responsible to investigate and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of the event. In new projects, you will be called upon to support the technical review as well as the commissioning activities. To ensure the long term performance of our assets, you are responsible for compliance to the industrial management system (IMS) and support the deployment of technical initiatives sponsored by IM-ROC or IM-WBL.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
- Provide effective and efficient maintenance services for allon-siteplants.
- Ensures the maintenance activities are within project schedule, budget and customers requirements are met.
- Manage the maintenance and operation procedure; and adhere to local regulatory and corporate safety and industrial standards.
- Constantly review and perform gap analysis for IMS (GP/GT/GE) compliance.
- Ensures identified action plans are followed and closely timely.
- Prepares and maintains the necessary documentations to support audits.
- Constantly innovate and seek new ways of working to generate savings or simplify work processes.
- Comply to the management of the change process defined by IM and support the evaluation.
- Propose ideas to generate SMART savings without compromising safety and reliability.
- Adopt and implement initiatives sponsored by IM-WBL and IM-ROC.
- Perform root cause analysis (8D reports) for incidents.
- Analyze reliability performance to uncover trends and areas of improvements.
- Supports theon-sitemanager for the reporting of reliability performance and in the explanation of incident reports to customers.
- Provide recommendations for method of repair.
Are you a MATCH?
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Experience in continuous plant maintenance and operations.
- Experience in working and troubleshooting of rotating machinery i.e. screw/centrifugal compressors
- Ability to take a “hands-on” approach in troubleshooting and problem solving in plant machinery including PLC, instrumentation & control, etc.
- Ability to travel to customer sites and neighbouring countries when required to support maintenance activities.
- Possession of class 3 license will be added advantage
