About this role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Equipment Manager/Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Boston Scientific. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the management, maintenance, and utilization of equipment within our facilities. Your expertise will ensure that our equipment is operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the lifecycle of equipment, including acquisition, installation, maintenance, calibration, and decommissioning. Ensure all equipment meets regulatory and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, including tracking usage, condition, and location. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for procurement and repairs.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and effective service. Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with technical staff to resolve problems swiftly.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Maintain detailed documentation and reports related to equipment management and maintenance activities.
- Work closely with various departments, including engineering, operations, and quality assurance, to support equipment-related needs and projects. Provide training and support to staff on equipment usage and best practices.
- Perform continuous improvement by identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings related to equipment management. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Required qualifications:
- 3 years of experience with an Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
Prefer qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in equipment management or coordination, preferably within a medical device or manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in using equipment management software and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of equipment maintenance, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and best practices.
