Mechanical Commissioning Specialist - Data Centre Project - 12-Month Contract Our client was founded in 1996, they are a company who specialise in commissioning mission critical projects at all stages of the facility build. They proudly have completed strategic projects for some of the highest profile companies in numerous regulated industries. They have now delivered over half a billion dollars in services for hundreds of clients across thousands of projects, ranging from under $1,000 to over $30 million. This is a large hyperscale Data Centre facility for the globe’s largest multinational corporation and technology company. The project has an overall MW capacity of approx. 42 MW. The project is currently going through MEP fit out phase and the expertise of a mechanical commissioning lead and electrical commissioning lead are required for the testing of mechanical equipment such as; AHU’s, Chillers, VRF’s, BAS and a separate water storage facility.
Responsibilities:
- To provide Mechanical Commissioning Specialist Services
- Supporting commissioning team at CAI for a data centre project in Netherlands
- Conduct all electrical / mechanical tests with a direct regard for safety.
- Complete commissioning and performance acceptance testing of the electrical / mechanical systems
- Provide input into electrical / mechanical test procedures.
- Document all electrical / mechanical test results and analyse for proper adherence to required and industry standards.
- Documents may include, but not restricted to, commissioning test scripts, event logs, trend data, technical reports and issue logs.
- Coordinate with project contractors and equipment vendors to execute required tests.
- Operate BAS/BMS to develop trend analysis for equipment and overall system response.
- Overseeing Level 2 IVC Commissioning process across various systems, coordinating with project teams to resolve any issues promptly.
- Overseeing Level 3 PFC Commissioning process across various systems, coordinating with project teams to resolve any issues promptly.
The role:
- Oversee complete commissioning and performance acceptance testing of the electrical infrastructure systems.
- Development of all electrical test procedures.
- QA/QC of all electrical test procedures.
- Provide input and insight to the overall commissioning plan.
- Support all aspects of safety for all electrical tests.
- Compile reports for the electrical test engineers and issue a daily report to the Commissioning Project Manager.
