Job Description
FamilyCare Pack R&D team as a Senior Scientist specializing in material development and ingredient technology integration to advance our sustainable packaging initiatives in compliance with Senate Bill 54. This role focuses on crafting packaging solutions that drive business success and support our dedication to sustainability.Key Responsibilities: - Own the development and integration of sustainable ingredient technologies into packaging materials.- Innovate and develop new packaging formats using renewable and recyclable materials.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging innovations meet sustainability goals and regulatory standards.- Conduct research and development to explore new materials and technologies for sustainable applications.- Drive the execution of learning plans, process scale-up, and technical documentation related to material development.- Partner with external vendors to source and evaluate sustainable materials and technologies.- Act as a single-point contact for packaging format development, aligning with cross-functional partners including MPD, M&S, PS, ENG, PR, QA, GPS, and Analytical.
Skills Needed to Perform this Job: - Expertise in sustainable material development and ingredient technology integration. - Positive relationship and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. - Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools, such as ENOVIA. - Experience in packaging R&D, regulated product development, and GMP compliance. Skills You Can Expect to Learn: - Expand expertise in sustainable packaging materials and ingredient technologies. - Develop learning plans that integrate sustainability strategies. - Collaborate with partners across departments to drive sustainable initiatives. - Build leadership and capability within the Family Care R&D organization. - Leverage Eco-System Modeling to accelerate learning and cultivate innovation in packaging.
Job Qualifications
Job Qualifications: - PhD in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on sustainable materials or packaging technology is preferred. - Confirmed experience in material development with an emphasis on ingredient technology integration for packaging solutions. - Strong understanding of consumer-material-converting relationships and their technical synergies. - Experience in modeling and simulation to optimize material properties and packaging performance. - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and work collaboratively with internal and external partners. - Strong communication skills, capable of articulating sophisticated technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Familiarity with GMP compliance and experience in regulated product development.
